2018 was a year of record heat in the Spring which changed Red Lake’s fishing patterns. Forest fires loomed seemingly near all summer but thankfully sent only the smoke our camp’s way. Check out the dramatic photos here in this video. Despite it all, our guests caught the big lunkers and plenty of tasty eaters too! As a new camp policy in 2018, all of the pike over 27 inches and walleye over 18 inches were released back into the lake to continue to spread their superior genetics for large size and longevity. The end result is even more specimen fish. This stewardship will maintain and improve Red Lake as an amazing fishing get-away into the future. Enjoy the show!
