Border is Open to Canada Starting August 9.
I’m sure many of you have heard the Canadian border will be opening August 9 to American travelers. As is our policy we have waited up to this point to post so that we have as much up to date as possible. There are requirements for crossing starting with the fact that...
Fires Near Camp
Both Bow Narrows Camp and the town of Red Lake are being threatened by nearby forest fires right now. Camp has been evacuated as one of the fires is only about 7 miles away. Brian is staying with our gracious BNC friends at Eagle Falls Lodge located closer to town....
Dry Conditions
Thought I would share some images. It has been very dry and you know what that means…forest fires. While the camp is not in danger at the time of this entry, the smoke has been quite heavy for extended periods. While on the subject of fires, someone needs to light a...

The Changing Ice
As temperatures have dipped back down and ice pellets have fallen in Red Lake, the ice on the lake continues to change. Here's a photo from yesterday looking as if it was air-brushed.
Red Lake Ice Photos
Blessings to all from Wichita! Life continues to roll on as we wait for good news about the border to come through. We know it will happen, so it is just a watching and waiting game. Right now, the border is still closed so, as always, we keep up our prayers for...
