Right now, even baby steps are good. Since Canada has decided to allow US camp owners to cross the border to go to their camps, Brian is preparing to head up there and reclaim the camp from the bush. Naturally, there is a host of paperwork that needs to be completed to streamline the border crossing and limit exposure to the “virus that changed the world.” Once he crosses the border, Brian will head straight to Red Lake and then camp to quarantine for 2 weeks.

Many of you have heard the projections for how long the border might stay closed. We have tried very hard to NOT add to the guesses by blogging only about definitive dates. But it is a year of questions without many answers. What will happen next? What we know is that Brian can go to camp, quarantine and then open it to Canadian guests for now. We will take that. We are glad to be able to take care of the camp and get some finishing done on the new cabin #8.5.

So let’s look to the future. Some day we will all be at camp together again. We miss you all and keep praying for health, wise decisions…and sanity.
