FAQs

Q: Can we come on the Housekeeping Plan and buy a meal in the dining room?

A: Yes. You can also buy one particular meal, i.e. breakfast, for the whole week.

Q: Can I fish with a full-limit license instead of the conservation license that comes free with my package?

A: Yes. We sell all licenses at camp.

Q: What time should we be at the dock in Red Lake for pick-up with the lodge’s cabin cruiser boats?

A: On Saturdays, our boat will pick you up in Red Lake at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. On Sundays the pick-up times are 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Q: Do you sell bait?

A: No. You should pick up bait in Red Lake before coming out to camp and we will replenish your supply during our mid-week supply trip. Our anglers use leeches and worms from May-August and minnows in September

Q: How many guests are in camp at one time?

A: We normally have about 24-30 people each week.

Q: Do you supply depth-finders with your boats?

A: No. You should bring your own.

Q: Can I bring an electric trolling motor and battery?

A: Yes.

Q: Can we take a floatplane-sightseeing trip?

A: Yes. We can arrange for a floatplane to pick you up  and return you to camp.

Q: Is there medical help in Red Lake?

A: Yes. Red Lake has a full-service hospital and clinic.
