The weather here at camp has been definitely cooler than this time last year and we have seen timely rain. In the past few days, it has warmed up with little rain but lots of sunshine. The predominant wind direction up until the last week was north/northeast which combined with the cooler temperatures has kept water temperatures down as well. Yet the water is still getting warmer which ultimately increases fish activity.

The plywood jungle…soon to be the new flooring in the lodge’s dining room.

While things are hopping this month as usual, none-the-less we have found time to continue replacing the camp’s dining room floor. Last fall when we stabilized the lodge, the old flooring had to go so we could work under it. The new flooring is being prepped in advance one board at a time, so that we can install them with minimal disruption to the dining room.
