It’s the eve before our first 2017 guests arrive here at Bow Narrows. In between getting the boats in tip-top shape, Brian tried a few casts from one of our docks. Low and behold, 5 casts later, a 38″ Northern Pike…very well fed. Check it out!
And it’s not the first time this has happened. Some guests have spent their whole vacation fishing from the dock and have caught more fish than guests in a boat! Dan explained how the narrows in front of camp are like some kind of fish-superhighway with big fish swimming back and forth all the time. And this also works out in your favor on windy days with good fishing in front of camp but on calmer water.
How cool is that?!
Looks like a good omen to me!!!
Have a great opening week–see you in four! Now, don’t catch “ALL” the fish before I get there! Oh wait… It’s catch and release–no problem!
We’ll be sure to save a few for you, Doug! See you in a few weeks.
We have never been sucesful off the docks but others who were there at the same time did catch some nice fish.Often they were waiting for there partner who was still in the cabin so they thought they would cast a couple times while waiting and what -do-you-know- they caught one!Oh Well-Maybe this year-See You June 10!!!
