And now, a little reminder that summer will be here soon and this harsh winter will end! As many of you may know, each evening during the season at Bow Narrows Camp, the remains of the day’s fish filleting are dumped out on a small collection of rocks sticking up out of Red Lake. Here the birds wait…gulls lead the boat out to Gut Rock, then swoop in the eagles who clear out most of the other birds. Take a look at the footage from our employee Steve Merritt who filmed the trip with our GoPro. Enjoy!

Sure enjoy watching all the birds coming in to feed. Have seen this many times over the years I have been there. Can not wait to watch them again come Aug……….
I remember going out there with Adam and Don. doing that exact same thing. believe it was around 1973. cabin 3 was the lodge and we used to take showers behind it.
It’s a great side-story of the camp’s history! Just the sound of the boat motor takes us back to camp and the lake. Yes cabin 3 was the lodge, and as camp cook, I revel in the fact that they cooked for everyone in the kitchen in there. Now that it is used as a cabin, #3 is many of our guests’ favorite one to stay in. So glad you are following the blog after all of these years.
