As most of you understand, it has been a difficult time for our camp. With little to no meaningful support from the Canadian government, we have done what we can to hang in there. We are so thankful to not be a dire situation at the present, but know that we are and have been in survival mode for Bow Narrows.
While we wish we knew when the border will open, what we do know is that it will be financially impossible to rollover each person’s deposit a 2nd time to 2022. So if you cannot make it to camp in 2021 for any reason, and you have already had a rollover on your deposit, you will need to secure another deposit for 2022. We don’t need it now but rather once the border does open. We will still work with you to save your original reservation dates if at all possible.
A few of our guests have left extra pre-payments toward their trips as a way to help the camp out financially. We appreciate that blessing! Any amount on their accounts, above and beyond the $200/person deposit will be applied to their next trip to camp.
Those of you who know us realize how it pains us to implement this financial necessity. If there was any feasible other way to help this camp “stay alive”, we would do so. Thank you for your understanding. We appreciate each and every one of you.
That is very reasonable. Thanks for all your efforts and positivity!
What’s the status of opening the Border?
Another decision about the border opening will be made on or before May 21. Wish we knew more, but we are all in this waiting game together.
