The end of our first season at Bow Narrows was a time of time of mixed feelings: happiness that we had a successful first year, sadness to leave the Canadian wilderness, and excitement to see family and friends in the states
One of the most prominent feelings though was thankfulness…to have this opportunity to host you all and run this camp…and to have that with the support of the people who know it best, Dan and Brenda. When we crossed the border into Canada this May, we met a couple from Iowa who had owned their Canadian resort/hotel for maybe four years. When they started up, they didn’t have the past owners there to help them get rolling along. I marvel at their fortitude to learn it all on their own when neither one of them had any background in running a resort.
So we want to publicly thank Dan and Brenda for working so hard to make sure that we succeed and know how to take care of you all. Any of you that know the Baughmans know they are two of a kind in the best of ways. So now the next time you come to Bow Narrows, Dan and Brenda, it will be as guests in our home. We look forward to having you as neighbors! See ya soon!
Dan and Brenda, Joanne and Brian are a quartet of great Hosts at the best Wilderness Camp in Canada. I and my family have fished at Red lake for 25 years. I have enjoyed seeing Moose, Bears, Eagles, Beavers, Otters, Loons etc. We have fished all over Red lake with wonderful success and much Laughter. The real joy of all our trips however are the Friends and Staff we happily interact with for a week every year. The memories we have and add to each year are a precious part of life. Thanks to our 4 Hosts for the care and stewardship with which they operate Bow Narrows.
Your Friend and camp mate

P.S. I did not mention the great FOOD that I gain weight with each year.
Thanks so much, Larry! And the feeling is mutual…we all have many great memories involving you and your group as well. Looking forward to seeing you all in 2018!
