As we all wade through this unexplored territory of a pandemic, we have lots of questions going through our heads on a daily basis. Some can be answered, and many we have to wait out. Our most frequently asked questions pertaining to camp are probably on most Bow Narrows’s guests minds. Here’s what we know so far.

What do you know about when we will be able to cross the border?

The Canadian/United States border closing has been extended a few more weeks, and the border’s re-opening will be re-evaluated in mid-May. The opening of camp is directly related to the date we can get there and start things up. So this is a wait and see situation for that. Another factor that determines getting into camp every year is the ice-out. The temperatures in Red Lake have been quite cold still so unless things warm up rapidly, the ice will be there for a while yet.

Can I move my reservation to a later date in 2020 if needed?

Yes, call or email us to discuss the possibilities. The most important thing to note is that for most reservations nothing has to be decided right now. There just isn’t enough information available yet for how this will all pan out. We are happy to temporarily pencil you in as a “maybe” to moving to another date. Then when more info about the border is available, a firm decision can be made.

What about my deposit?

Our usual deposit policy is being revised for this 2020 season. If you are certain you cannot reschedule the trip in 2020, let us know as soon as possible and your deposit will be rolled over to 2021.

As we gather additional information about getting into Canada, we will be sure to let you know.
