More photos of the ice out on Red Lake…from Howie Bay and then an awesome aerial view at Bow Narrows Camp. Love to see more open water!

What a beautiful sight to see camp from above! Thank you to pilot Craig Carlson who took this photo of the ice/open water status on May 8th. The black ice, also called “sick/rotten ice”, usually means the ice is in its final days. A good strong wind, and/or some rain, would really send it on its way.
