Thank you to Sherry McCoy in Red Lake who has been snapping some photos of the ice on the lake for us. Here are a couple of photos she sent. While temperatures have been below normal for the last two weeks, it is projected the coming week’s temps will be normal. More importantly, the overnight lows will remain above freezing.
Some have said the snow melting will help the lake melt. Some have said it will be a late ice-out. Time will tell!
How does the water level projection look for the Spring? I know it’s been low the past couple years. Thanks.
Due to the fact that they have had more snow and late winter rain, it is said they are expecting the early-season lake level to be higher this year.
