Mike Boyer with what may be a muskie caught a few weeks ago.
The only unequivocal way to tell if it is a Northern Pike or a Muskie is by counting the pores on the underside of the lower jaw since both pike and muskie are known to present clear and spotted patterns. The half-scaled cheek plate suggests that it could indeed be a muskie.
Awesome!!! For the record, I caught the fish and I’m just letting Mike hold it………..that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!!!! We had a another great time at camp this summer. For first-timers, we thought Brian and Joanne did a great time. We already signed up for next year. Gonna catch that Muskie’s big daddy!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the clarification, Lonnie! We can’t wait to see what you reel in next year! We all really enjoyed having you here.
