The Baughman family owned and operated Bow Narrows Camp since 1961. In 2017, Brian and Joanne purchased Bow Narrows Camp and are excited and honored to carry on their legacy.
Joanne & Brian Spillar
Starting his trek to Red Lake in 1978, Brian has been a regular guest to Bow Narrows for 19 years. He has a degree in the sciences working in numerous technical positions for three decades, and loves his “office” now being the pristine wilderness of Red Lake, Ontario.
Brian Spillar
Joanne took her first vacation to the northwoods when she was one year old and has loved it ever since. With a degree in advertising/journalism, she worked in graphic design and marketing for many years before choosing to be a stay-at-home mother. Coming from a big family and having a passion for cooking, she’s right at home here.

Like our predecessors, Bow Narrows Camp is not just a business for us. It is our home. We treat it, our guests, the environment and its creatures with respect and dignity.
We love this beautiful place with its stunning scenery, friendly animals and a rhythm that is based, not on a road, but on water. Like waves on a lake, we intend for it to go on forever.
